Out with ECMlink eh? When/why did you decided to swap over?
Oh gosh, where do i begin?
I'll start with the basics:
I felt like it was time to try something new(er).
The amount of control over literally every parameter is leaps and bounds better than ECMLink.
ECMLink is "easy" but, for instance where it comes to startup, warm-up and idle tuning, it's like using a broken bottle to perform surgery. LinkECU offers a ton more ability to dial sh*t in properly. Idle can be adjusted based on ECT, IAT, RPM. Injector deadtimes are easier to dial in. The ISC is much easier to dial in.
I don't have to deal with the limitations of inputs and outputs like with ECMLink. If i want to log fuel and oil pressure, i don't have to hack some sh*t or give up one thing to get another.
Also, the ability to run CAN bus things is nice. I kinda wanted to go to an electromechanical speed sensor, which this also facilitates with the BTI dash.
I may consider going to a DBW throttle body as well.

Besides...isn't THIS reason enough? :D
