splicing in pigtails

I would like to know the proper way to splice in pigtails in engine bay.

Any particular connections you are working on? There are various techniques. I have repaired a few harnesses missing connectors over the years. I even have a few miscellaneous spare items if you need them.

I should have checked this sooner but better late than never. All located around thermostat housing..

Connectors broke off of:
Engine coolant temp gauge unit B-01 in service manual pg 49 configuration diagrams
Engine coolant temp sensor B-02 " " "
A/C engine coolant temp switch B-22 " "" "
Engine coolant temp switch B-22-4 for condenser fan
O2 sensor connector is still connected but has broken plastic B-20

That wiring to those particular connectors is probably stiff and brittle. I would re do with new pins and new connectors. You can buy them individually through Sheridan engineering
