I was going to wait until I got my wingless trunk, vr4 front bumper and side skirts on the car but it was a full moon tonight so I went out to take some pics. Picked the car up from jared50438 in iowa last month, 90 GSX with jdm vr4 engine, wiring harness and ecu, since I brought it home I've added 93 head lights, evo wheels, stock silver hood, finished the exhaust and tied up some odds and ends, still has a long way to go until I'm done but I'm really happy with the car.

I was stuck financially, had to pay tuition, was stuck in a high rent apartment by myself after my room mate bailed on me, had a big car payment, sold off all my cars except my montero in the last year, buckled down, got everything in order, and saw this car when browsing the forums and day dreaming about how much I missed mine.

It just seems so soon since you sold that last car and I was surprised to see you with a new one already. Maybe it's been longer and time just flies faster the older I get. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif That blue GSX was really nice from what I could see in the pics. I'm sure this one will end up the same.

Its been about a year and a half, I wish I never sold the blue one, for a LOT of reasons.

I honestly think that hood he had on the car devalued the sh*t out of it lol, I don't mean in terms of the car itself, but in the eyes of many perspective buyers a hood like that is usually a sign to stay away. Jared did a lot of things very well on the car though. The no power steering and welded center diff with a 2900 was a mother f***er to handle around town at first, especially since I've been driving a lexus for the last year lol. now its temporarily rear wheel drive and has a 2100, while I replace the shift rail in the open center diff trans I got from him.

I remember talking to you back then (and it was a while ago actually). Props to you for standing up and making a mature decision and I agree this shows all the potential of your last car. Those wheels really do look good on the VR4s. I so want a set, but they are so hard to find over here. Make sure you post some more pictures when you get the bumpers on.

I'll PM you with some questions from the other thread later.

thanks guys, I'm pretty certain that silver has become my favorite color, i loved every angle of my Apex Silver EVO and this car very much reminds me of it.

I am getting close to finishing my green 92, and I was looking at it sitting here (on jackstands, of course), and there is just something about the design lines of this car. It may be out of date, but I think it is classic. Yours is looking good.

Thanks! I feel the same, it's got a really classic style to it. Had a 40 something cougar the other day tell me she likes my car, it looks "classy". I assume she just wanted the D because she pulled up in a Mercedes, but she seemed genuine. Ex girlfriends little sister (16) was riding in my car and said 'this thing is sweet, its like a classic car' it practically is at this point, weird to think that we're edging into classic car owners.

This one looks way better than the white one you had. I liked the blue car too.

They are great looking cars, but it took a lot of staring contests with 1951 for me to really get it. The car's lines are very clean and well sculpted, and it has a sort of subtle aggressiveness to it. I've thought at times that there is some European influence going on here. In any case, silver is one of those colors that really sets off a car's lines. I hope to buy a JDM VR-4 one day in silver.
