I know the 1g's use a 12pt 14mm socket, but it is too large for the arp's on my 2g. I don't have any 12pt sockets to try on it, so I need to know the size before I run to Sears. Thanks. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You might need a deep well socket for one of the nuts though. At least I did.

I bought a deep well, but I don't think it was needed. Came right off with no prob.

Now I got to rods and have the same prob. Are the arp rod bolts metric or are they SAE like the head stud nuts??? Got to make a trip back up to Sears, so what size do I need? 10mm? The 12pt 12mm is too large, looks like a 10mm if it is metric.

Last ARP rod bolts I torqued were 11mm 12 point.
Had to buy a single socket mainly because I wanted a 1/2 drive to match the torque wrench.

1G Head Studs Socket = 14mm
2G Head Studs Socket = 13mm

ARP Main Studs = 12mm

ARP Rod Bolts = 11mm
