I have to replace rusted brake lines and need to find out what is the pitch for the flare nuts, M10 x 1.0??

Also, what type of flare is used, inverted, bubble, double flare??

Thanks
Joe

Joe,

Yes, the fittings are 10mm x 1.0. I believe all of the flares on the vehicle are standard inverted double flare type. No bubble flares.

Thanks for the quick response. So is the "standard inverted double flare type" the same as a
45* double flare? That is what my tool is capable of forming, KD Tools Double Flaring Tool.
again thanks-Joe

Never mind Google to the rescue,

There are two basic types of flares used on OEM automotive brake systems throughout the world. The SAE/double (inverted/45degree) flare and the DIN/ISO bubble flare.

Now I can order my parts, I'll be using Copper Nickel Brake Line Tubing Kit 3/16
