Started the day by using a set of dsm rear uppers and boxing them in then I figured since the car was in the air that they could use my modified mustache brace with the poly bushings for the rest of the race. Figured these need a real world test since only Jackstand ballers own them.

As I pulled in to the shell station down by the interstate it was like falling into car heaven. I pulled in the lane of sports cars with the wife's xterra and they knew the parts had arrived. There were guys walking up to thank me and there not even Galant owners, just a car guy brother hood. They were checking out the home built parts and watching the guys work. I looked up and these clowns had cannonball run running on a laptop on top of the trailer....
Then here comes the rain again so people started back to there cars and heading to the track until one corvette came by yelling cancelled and the cars made out like they were going south to the next fire.
So pictures.

Just random shots, Tims head and old plymonth with a vette running gear and a blower.

The guys had to eat so we stopped at Hooters.

Thanks for the burger Tim, best of luck with the race and had a great evening hanging out , if it wasn't for the rain would have been a perfect day.

OK, so the car is totally fixed with a beefed up rear stash?

No wonder there was no times posted on the site.

Also boxed in the uppers with some 1/8 inch steel plates. I even brought my protractor to set up the rear angles but the iphone with a fancy digital one was used instead. .

One things for sure the car has a serious stance to it. Guys I need those alignment figures so when mine goes together I can set it up to match.

The Galant was the only car with a cheering section at Autobahn (it was actually quite hillarious). It's good to see the same support is continuing throughout the race.

If you look at my pictures at Autobahn, you'll see the GVR4 in a line, getting ready to get out on the track. Right in front of it was a late 60's mustang, which obviously (by the whine) had a supercharger on it. You already heard that the 2nd lap of that race was hurt by passing that car - what was hillarious was the whole GVR4 team that was on the observation deck, totally rooting and cheering on the pass. Even the guys who weren't there for "our car" were getting into it.

Nothing else like it.

^ The best part about the cheering section was the guys to my right. They had already ran (Not sure what car) and were watching to support the Lotus and the Porsche. We had them screaming too when The Galant passed the Moosetang. Literally almost everyone up on the deck was cheering by the time we were done.

I can tell you the car rides stiffer with that mustache on the road. It definitely took out a lot of flex that was happening back there. Of course it is only my arse-cheek doing the measurements, but it is pretty accurate most of the time.

Huge thanks to Curtis for helping out and bringing Bruce along to do the heavy work.
