Hi.
Not sure if this is allowed here, I didn't see it to NOT be okay in the rules, so delete if I'm being a FNG!
I picked up 1049/2000 from 4wheelsqueel on here. He's a great guy, helped me out so much with the purchase of this car!
I've had a few dsms before but never a VR4, however judging by my sign up date, you can tell how long I've wanted one.
I'm a mod over on tuners (yeah cool whatever) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Painting the window frames black would make that car look 100 times better. Welcome to the site. I think I remember giving you loads of sh*t awhile back on t00ners for using a galant grill in the bumper of your DSM. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rofl.gif

My friends told me to run that grille in this car.. haha /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I'm working on it as much as possible while juggling a full time job.

They're painted corners.. I don't like.

I put it together unbolted for some motivation... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Rad support looked really bad, so it irritated me. I got rid of that. I'm not sure how well it'll hold up but it looks better than it was.

She's getting more gutted, then dropped off at a good friend of mine who does amazing body work. He's refabbing up all the panels that got hit by rust.

The lower fenders were rusty, I cut out the rust, luckily dog legs hide all of the lower fender!

Soon I'll get my sparco in and shroth harness.
This weekend I'm dropping my rear end and front subframe out of my Talon and putting it in this to 5 lug convert.

I bought this cause I totalled the sh*t out of my 1g, almost got killed by my battery in the hatch (USE A TIE DOWN FOR GOD SAKES!)
It hit the passenger seat and left a square mark. Fun.
I broke my Timing side mount off the frame, yet the engine fired right up.
I'd like to forget about all this though, but I figured I'd let you know.

Here's my build list (Not full list of course)

TMZ built transmission (done)
OEM MLS HG
ARP head studs
FP exhaust manifold
1050cc injectors
Link v3 lite
Magnus cast v3 intake manifold
I'm considering a BSE, however everything on my timing side is new.. everything.
I'm going to shoot for 25psi with this car.
Few questions.
What FMIC do you guys reccomend?
Can I run a 91 AWD DSM ecu?
Should I go with a fuel cell if it will be occasionally street driven? Is there one you guys would recommend? (Doubt it, any cell will work as long as it fits under the car).
I love this car so much though, It's a great feeling.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Welcome aboard lofty, I'm GSX_TC on tuners. Sorry to hear about your talon man. That's pretty cool how your taking this seriously and already converting stuff over from the talon to the vr4. But yeah man I'd get the ETS kit for the VR4. It's a full bolt on kit.

Eh, I am so very happy I got this car. I don't even think about the DSM anymore.

I want the ETS kit, but it's killing me with the price. Haha, I'll probably end up getting it anyways.

Where does the top bracket bolt on to?

Reason I ask is the hood latch and the piece that runs vertical under the hood latch is gone.

Well no. I took it off, cause the vertical bracket running under the latch was hacked up.

I figured Aerocatch pins would suffice.

Eh, I think I can get your attention with updates.

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Dropped the rear end in lucy so I can 5 lug convert and LSD the GVR4.

Did this in less than an hour, had a friend time me! I decided to drop the whole driveshaft with the rear end cause I couldn't find a 14 open end wrench /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Hahahaha thanks for the kind words. Rear end is getting freshended up this weekend, you'll see what I mean when I say that. Is there a place to put a build thread? I'd like to do that.

Shoot! I knew I was forgetting to do something. Will post those updated pics soon. As for 1049/2000, glad to see someone put the time into it that I don't have. Thing was sitting for the last few years after engine blew an oil pump. 6 turbo'd mitsu's is bad enough, 7 was too many. Glad you're happy with it, scott.
