newb question here. i know that you have to switch the wires 6 and 14 when using a 1990 ecu in our cars, but what is the traditional way of doing this? are the wires cut then spliced?? is it possible to remove the wire from the harness connector making it cleaner??

has anyone put on a switch to make the change over as easy as fliping a switch??
