Im having trouble wiggling the tranny out. I removes transmissions before on dsms but never had this problem. Trying to slide it out straight but i keep hitting this bracket. Any tips..?

Yeah, pull the bracket, also the whole rotate the tranny thing usually helps. Counter clockwise if you are looking at it from the wheel side.

Always have to take the bracket off when dropping it out the bottom. And the passenger axle is always a jerk.

It's possible to remove/install with that plate still installed but it's a royal pia and requires a lot of twisting, lifting, and cussing. It's so simple to remove the five bolts and get it out of the way it makes removal/installation 100x easier.

Yeah, removal of the gusset plate is a must when removing the trans.

xuberantz lol that was me yesterday i swear i almost had it but it was getting late. Also that passenger axel was a pain it popped out at the boot.

Definitely 100x easier taking that plate off, came right out thanks fellas...

Well guys im trying to get my shiny new tranny mounted but i cant seem to get it in. You guys have any tips to help? I have a tranny jack but should i just try to get a second person?

I think a transmission jack is a pain in the ass. I've always put them on my chest and stuck em in. Done many that way, even by myself.

How strong are you..? lol im 200 pounds and know im stronger then most. Seemed like i was going to get it but the throw out bearing popped off and my shoulder got pinned under it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif lol
