Alternator: How to wire up and/or test

I was wondering if anyone know how to wire up a CS144 alternator to the stock DSM connector?

I know the CS144 has the following wires: Big Battery Connector, F, L and P. I think L energizes the alternator but I am not 100% sure.

I found this but don't know what it means. I know it should be similar to the saturn alternator but I want to be sure.
