Door Repleacement

I've searched through the forum and couldn't find a concrete answer. Does anyone know if the GVR4 doors are the same as non VR4's? I'm looking to drop a few pounds with manual windows and door locks, and don't want to get 4 new doors from a non VR4 just to find they don't fit.

Yes they are. You will have to drill a few holes for the side skirts but that is it.

Or you can just gut the VR4 doors and swap in the manual stuff.

If you get non-Vr4 doors, be ready to kill the factory alarm because they most likely will not have the electrical locks like the VR4 does.

Thanks for the insight, I appreciate it. It's nice to have a solid answer. I planned on getting rid of the factory alarm. It seems to drain my battery if I don't drive the car everyday.
