Any of you had one put in with rubber moulding instead of the factory trim? I'm sitting at the glass place now and he said he'd swap rubber moulding for free if I wanted. I said ok and was just wondering if anyone else has.

Me either, but he better still be gluing it in, not just with a molding. that is old school and structurally inferior.

You'll be able to tell best, in person and all, but it looks pretty good & eliminates those damn corner trim bits I am sick of repainting every year. May be something to consider when it comes time for windshield number 4 in mine. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif

I'd have to see it in person, but I think I like the looks of that better than the stock trim...

He said the rubber hooks under the glass, so when it's glued in, you can't pull it out without taking the glass out. It's not just a trim/rubber.

That's how mine was installed (twice /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif ) when I had to have the windshield replaced. It actually looked a bit out of place with the chrome corners everywhere else but the front...

But those chrome corners are supposed to be black, scuff em with a 3m red scrubby, some wax & grease remover & shoot em flat black. I've done my front ones a couple times & the rears I've only had to do once. along with the side window trim, base of windshield bit & wiper arms, makes a huge difference in the appearance of the car.
