I think I have a slip from 05 or 06 that has 11.20 on it. No slips newer than that.

this year low 11s. dan s is in the 9s

Curt drove the car in '04 and made a handful of low 10s passes before the Fuel fire. Took me a few years to rebuild it after that.

Fast forward:
Sandy and I rebuilt the car and ran the car again in '07.

With only me behind the wheel I finally ran a 9 second pass.
My best et: 9.91, best trap 148 mph, best 60 ft 1.36 s.

From the sounds of a lot of people's setups they should be in the low 11's but they aren't, including me. It's not as easy as people think and takes more than just a bunch of go-fast parts. Launching and shifting these things to those e.t.'s and traps can be a bitch if they don't act right.

I ran a couple of high 11sec passes back in '05, but haven't really raced since then.

Yep a lot of people are going to have a big wake up the first time they head to the track with a new set up. Hell last year it took me tell the end of the year to get the car dialed in. Then after that I had to get used to how the car responded at the track. Street driving and the track are two way different things

What do you mean? I cant just slap a 4088, aem, and a FMIC on my stock car and run 10's?

I owned a 10 second car before. Low 11.4-11.9 isnt too difficult. Its that last .5-1.0 thats a pain in the ass. So much more money for just a second. Took a year of dynoing adjusting and driving too go from a 11.7-10.7.

Yeah. I got too an 11.5 and needed tires. Then launching on slicks was a whole new experience. Including a whole new clutch setup since i was informed too slip the clutch lightly all through first so the 2600 didnt like that after 1 or 2 times. Cracking that 10.x barrier sucks. Especially once you get too 11.0-11.2 because it al minor adjustments and driving too hit the 10.x mark. Hopefully i can get the galant to do it.

I'm hoping/planning to get into the top 10 GVR4 list this year depending on how lucky I get with time and breakage. I don't see much stopping me from getting my car to go solid mid 11's, then jumping up another 50-75hp nitrous jets and making a pass or two for a couple faster runs.

I am shooting for 10's this year, however I am making progress every week. The car is coming appart for the Clutch and Welded Center diff. Also more boost. As long as I get faster every time I hit the track I am doing good. I just need to get that trap over 100mph in the 1/8th. Just 3 more MPH and I am there . But just like others have said, that last 10% is always the hardest. I am trying the brute force method, throw a shitload of HP at the problem and see if you can get the time you want. I am not the best driver, and I have bad 60' times(2.014 ) and best 60' so far is (1.883).
