Can we use this alternate timing belt number for our cars?

Finding this number in several places ( example ) as applicable to our engines. These are aftermarket brands, but what Mitsu car(s) does this OEM number belong to?
**Edit**
Looking some more, I found a notice stating it replaces our old number, at least for the EVO 8/9's. LOOK Anyone know anything about that?

Mitsubishi often supersede part numbers as they change suppliers. That belt has been used from 1987 through to 2007 (and possibly beyond) and things can change within a 20 year period.

If you order the early number from Mitsubishi you may find they supply the later number. Both belts will do the same job.

MD326059 is the one you want. The Evo Kevlar belt. Being kevlar, it's obviously superior to the standard replacement.
