What is different with this one vs us glass, besides the obvious hole and placement of 4ws sticker? just wondering...I mean, know what it is for, but would the wiper assy and related parts be the $$ part if you were going all oem (beside glass)?

The wiper hole is the only difference JNR. But apparently it can't be cut into normal USDM glass

The motor assembly is the easy part. The glass is the hard part, 1) freight from jp. 2) fragile. It has to be packed well.

Are you planning on just finding a suitable motor assembly, an evo motor, or can you source a oem style?

Yeah, cutting glass is tricky and imagine esp. with the type they use in autos...so, a couple hundred bucks isn't bad at all then, but def. make sure they pak it well for sure...would suck to get it in pieces.

I remember years ago somebody was selling the entire setup here iirc and was reasonable.

Where does the jdm control it from the dash? Meaning, is it a button that fills one of the blanks or a different stalk?

I already have the oe motor & relay. Just need a pigtail. For a switch i'm going to try and use a oe switch and re-purpose it. I guess i need to know if the stock switch has wiper speed selections or is just on/ off one speed.

Usually the rear wiper is just one speed, again usually.

Do they have a washer, also, like say an suv? maybe something like a gp one that has it on the wiper blade arm...

So, G, how pissed are you going to be if this thing shows up at the door smashed? Did you insure it for the 4 billion dollars these things are going for over here?

And all the guys with Avants on my Audi forum are deleting the rear wiper. I think a lot of Evo guys do the same. If those cars didn't come with them in the US, people would be doing everything they can to get them. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rofl.gif

why isn't anyone taking a rock/core saw and cut a hole in what we have? does the wiper assembly need to be installed with the glass at the same time?
