How much power are you running to need 245 wide drag radials? I'd just stick with the 235.

You won't need spacers. If anything, the rear will sit flush and you'll need to camber the front in about 2.5 degrees to tuck, possibly more with a 245. I ran 245/40r17. They're meaty. a 245/45 is going to be really tall with that bigger sidewall. I now run a 235/40 and find it's a great balance between traction and looks.

Click the link in my sig. Any pic you see with my old 5zigen wheels have 245/40's mounted to them. The BBS's have 235's.

I ran Evo 9 wheels with 245/40s on my 2 G and they fit perfect. I swapped the same setup on the Galant and not so much. I swapped to 235/40 and am much happier. 245/45 will be too tall.

I have 245/40/17s on EVO VIII wheels on 1101 as we speak. As Wop mentioned the rears fit perfect without spacers. The front do stick out a bit but with more camber they would fit pretty well.

On my Talon I had EVO IX wheels with 245/45/17 and they looked really big. I had coilovers on it so fitment wasn't much of an issue. When I look ay 1101 with GR2s the tires are really close to the spring mount. I doubt a 45 series tire would fit on a stock style strut.

FWIW, I run 255s on my 1g, Evo 8 Enkeis, no fitment issues, didn't even grind the rear trailing arms.

check out vr4play's car for width limits /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rofl.gif
