Well I went to set the base timing. Grounded the timing connector and diagnose pin (3 from the bottom). Followed the instructions straight from Mitsubishi. The BISS was fine so I didn't not adjust it. I adjusted the timing to 5 degrees.

The problem is after I unplugged everything, the timing at idle is still 5 degrees and NOT 7-9 like the manual says. Motor has basically 2 miles on it and I am running Ostrich 2.0.

Thanks,
Alan

Never mind. Apparently, I was not doing it correctly. Only the timing jumper needs to be grounded. If both are grounded, the ECU enters the BISS adjustment mod. If only the timing jumper is grounded, it enters base timing adjustment.
