FS: '91 GVR4 in Socal lots of mods $5k--NOW WITH PICS

I got in a hit and run accident today on the wifes ninja 250 motorcycle and I hurt my foot pinging off the asshole's car. I kept the bike up but narrowly escaped death on the very busy 710 fwy northbound ot of the Long Beach Harbor.. lots andd lots of fully loaded semis on this stretch... probablt 1:10 are semi's. I narrowly dodged the heavy traffic and made it relatively safely to the emergency lane.

The wife has understandably asked me not to ride the streets in SoCal anymore. I can still do trackdays and I can ride in places not as retarded as SoCal. I respect her concern for me and I must buy a car. In order to do so, I very very very regrettably have to sell the Gvr4 that I have been so passionate about for nearly 8 years.

car has just about everything except SMIM.

1,000cc injectors
lots of headwork/oversized SS valves/custom spring&retainer setup
real HKS 272/272's
Wiseco 9:1
Eagle H-beam rods
ARP everything
new bearings (forget name but very very high quality)
24x10 custom FMIC done by DSM'er Evolution Raceworks
all custom FMIC piping and BOV
Tial WG
big T4 turbo (specs upon request)
T4 tubular exhaust manifold
dual EGT guage bungs but only using one currently
AEM wideband
AEM EMS
boost-oil pressure-EGT etc all custom mounted
lightened stock flywheel from RRE
new RRE X-clutch (less than 1000 miles)
stock trans
AGX's F/R
4-bolt/5-lug with Original Rays Touring Evolution wheels (circa 1994)
big brakes with Porterfield R4E's
JDM front bumper installed
stock front bumper
fiberglass hood installed
stock front bumper
Manual rack installed
lots and lots more

body is relatively clean for a '91 model car. two dings I can think of right now and I'm not hobbling outside to inspect for more. no major damage that I am aware of. Comes with spare trans/Tcase, original MITSU roof rack, and TONS of extra parts.

the bad part is the engine lost compression and I suspect I blew a ring but haven't been able to pull it apart due to my back injury (two metal rods implanted) and the wedding I just pulled off end of July '07. Please contact me if you know anyone who might want this wonderful car that has served me well and has terrorized teh streets many-a-night with me over the years. I am extremely sad to make this offer for sale but I am very limited in options right now.

I really need to see $5k for this or I will have to part it out as I will get at least that from all the parts in the car and the spare parts I have to offer. I would really hate to part out a perfectly good VR4 but again, my options are limited. If it doesn't sell, it will be parted as a last resort.

I -WILL- buy another VR4 asap but for the next year or 2 and I will need your help in locating another one when the time is right.

Damn man glad you didn't screw up bad on the bike. I love bikes but have lost to many friends because of them usually it the cars fault and not the bike people just don't watch for them.

As for the car I'm sure it will move to cars for sale, but until then free bump, I just hate to see it get parted out. I've had two friends here in town sell both of theirs on ebay in the last few years and the black one went for 10K and the white one went for 8K. Clean moded examples will always sell fast.

Requesting specs on the t4 setup including which radiator are you using with it?

It has a full aluminim Radiator from RRE and I think it's the super-badass brand (though I forget what namebrand it goes by) but I don't remember.

T4specs sut & pasted from my email with the guy I got it from's good friend.. I got it from a guy who got out of DSM's frm SoCalDSM...

The Turbo is a PTE SC-61. It
had a T4 P-trim exhaust wheel with a .69 a/r exhaust housing I believe, it
may have been a .68. I know it was the 2nd smallest T4 exhaust housing that
was available. It is a 600hp capable turbo, same thing as the PTE SCM61’s
that are very popular with the DSM people, just not bolt-on.

Sorry to hear about the accident. That is exactly why i don't have a bike despite my desire for one. I'm waiting til i can afford one as a track toy. Scoped out your webpage, the link to the 911 turbo vs. galant doesn't work but i think there is one that works on dsmporn.com. That is a great vid. Too bad about your GTR, too. I hope the only thing with wheels that semi driver is allowed near is a shopping cart. Socal freeways are insane. Good luck with your sale.

Good to hear your ok after the accident, I for one have to agree that the LA freeways are down right crazy seems like the soccer moms are going 80 MPH in the slow lane and everyone else is going like 90+. I almost cried when I saw your wrecked gtr also as I have been a hardcore fan with these cars ever since I saw one in Sports Car International way back in 1990, I'm getting ready to plop down $15K for a 1971 Hakosuka very soon and will be insuring if with full stated value ins just too make sure I can recoup the money if god forbid I get into an accident like you, anyways good luck with the sale and hope you get another gtr very soon

thanks to you both for your concern. Yeah, the GTR still haunts me. The insurance co just denied my stated value claim and retroactively canceled the policy 19+/- months after the accident. Hokosuk'a are nice. teh guy who owns sr20.com has one as well as a R33 (I think it's a 33). but the 33 isn't legal.

as for the links to the 911 and the street race vid vs. b18 hatch.. all my vids are down because I am a computer retard and just recently got the pics back up but can't seem to get the vids to work like they used to.

thanks.. I got a good deal on them, then added tires and it's around 20-25% of my asking price now.. I think I have priced car t osell. any les and I'll just rebuild again instead of buying a beater; I think. I really do not want to sell but if $$$ comes walking my way anytime soon, I'll have to take it.

How did it do with the California smog with all the mods? Did it pass, did you have the "hook ups",or have you never smogged it since the mods?

I thought I mentioned it but I guess not.

If this car drives in teh general vicinity of a smog shop the car testing at teh time will automatically fail.

I have connections and will share said connection with the purchaser if in CA. It is currently registered and smogged and it always does pass smog; while sitting in front of the house /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Last two times smog has been done by proxy and I can do this for you as well.. $400 is what I pay and will not mark up for any VR4 owner who needs it.

damn you pay alot for smog ,i only pay 150 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I can do it cheaper but car has to go there. This guy is in DMV /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif test only, regular smog, referee.. anything I need. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif how you thing GTR's pass smog?

forgot to mention that after reading Tem Ducktape's post I remembered I have a key fob and leather pouceh, along with some articles and such for the Gvr4. I do not remember if the keyfob is for my number or not.. I may have two, one of mine and some other number.. don't remember.

Hey Jason, now that you sell the car can you please pay me for the hood???
it seams to be included with the car..
Thanks, Paulo.

just as I told you in your PM, yes I will be happy to. I also linked you to the thread where I was looking for you to pay you and you never responded to it, me, or your emails from me. But I appreciate you trying to get off-topic in my thread... thanks for the bump.
