Car has engine and trans out. The engine needs to be reinstalled with new built head and trans should be reworked to handle the power or it will blow up. Prior to head work car made 301hp 294tq from 4000 to 8000 held steady power nice and flat at 18lbs of boost on rough tune with speed density. Found out during/after dyno run it had 3 bad valves and needed head rebuilt. So off to dale bogussvo got a full tilt head.
I've got about 8 grand in it and I'd like REDUCED $5000 OBO

It would be beneficial to add the price in the title as well as make it more visible in your description. GLWS:)

installing the motor is the biggest cost for this car. why not install it? not worth $2500 as is IMO

Personally I disagree turbophein. I would prefer a car with a freshly rebuilt engine, not yet installed, that way I can put it in and make sure the previous owner doesn't f*** it up.

kinda hard to f*** up a motor install?? what can go wrong? forgetting to put oil in, or antifreeze? tightening motor mounts /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif if you f*** up a motor install you do not belong owning these cars...period. building a motor, now that is completely different.

It's not the install, it's the first startup, and first 100 miles of a new motor I worry about. Things like; if you have a heavy clutch, making sure you disconnect the clutch pedal switch before the first startup so there's no pressure on the crank for the first startup before oil has had a chance to run through the motor, and other little stuff like that. I know usually it doesn't make a difference, but that's just me.

Not worth the effort on my end since it needs a trans built to handle the power of the motor, why put the motor in and still need a trans to handle it. Your opinion of price turbophein shows you want something for nothing, so does everyone else but I'm not giving it away. If I get more time I'll send the trans off and finish it as it is I won't.
Still for sale.
