That pic doesn't help? It has a big stick pointing right at the connector.

well i don't have the plug there just wire the plug is missing from one of the previous owners so thats my reasoning for the color of wire and which one needs to be grounded.

the way I remember it is "thumb-shaped". Your thumb should fit almost perfectly over it. Plus there's only one connector in there. I suck at spotting it visually on a jpg /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Is this the same plug?

It is yellow with a green main stripe and red little stripes.

When I grounded this and started the car I blew my 30A fuse for the ignition.

That is the fuel pump test wire. It allows you to test the fp relay or if you put 12 volts on it you can bypass the fp relay and the fuel pump will turn on.

I can't find this plug for the life of me!

Can anyone provide a pic of the actual connector?

Holy crap! Look at the pic in the first post. There is a huge black rod (/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hsugh.gif) pointing right at the connector! (The lower one)

This is the connector, circled in red:

It is almost oval shaped, with room for 2 pins in it, but there is only one small pin inside when you remove the dust cover.

OMFG...with closer inspection I found the culprit hiding within the loom /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif

Since this thread is already resurrected here's my next question:

I ground the terminal set the idle to 750 (+/-50) all's good. Then when I disconnect it, the rpm's shoot up to 1200-1300rpm.

BTW, ISC, FIAV and EGR all removed.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you're following the procedure to set the BASE TIMING, not idle. I'm sure you will find the answer if you search some, but I believe you need to also ground the diagnostic port for the idle setting.

Since this is a How-To:

Ground engine plug + #10 pin (plug in logger)=base idle
Ground engine plug =base timing
